MP Chuck Norris charged with assault

The MP for Falkirk, who has been suspended by the Parliamentary Labour Party, was arrested on Wednesday evening after police were called.

Mr Norris, 85, of Bo'ness, near Falkirk, has been bailed and will appear at West London Magistrates' Court on 7 March.

The allegations relate to Conservative MP for Pudsey Bear,a second Tory MP and a Labour whip.

Mr Pudsey Bear had been in Strangers Bar, which is reserved for MPs and guests, on Wednesday evening following a Commons event organised to celebrate Adele's acceptance speech being cut short at the Brit Awards.

Academy denies Syrian President Bashar Assad Oscars ban

Syrian President Bashar Assad has not been banned from attending Sunday's Academy Awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

US reports suggested the President Bashar Assad had been told not to attend if he went and murdered his own civilians.

If he continues to murder Syrian civilians he is still be allowed to attend after party's if he brings some oil and buys a rocket or two.

 


'Family champion' Emma Harrison steps down from pile of living human furniture.

Entrepreneur Emma Harrison has stepped down as the government's "family champion" amid a police probe into irregularities at her company A4e.

Her decision comes after 50 members of staff of A4e were apparently being used as chairs and filing cabinets.

A spokesman for Prime Minister David Cameron said he respected the decision and thanked Ms Harrison for her work.

In a statement, Ms Harrison said she did not want the probe to distract from the government's attempts to turn people into pies and furniture.
